Junk

The junk, a small vessel used primarily for coastal trade, fishing, transportation to big ships (like dinghy boats nowadays). It has a projecting bow and high stern. Junks were used in eastern Asia for thousands of years, in different variations of the form, but with the same basic principles.

The Galleass, developed in the period between using oars to sails, was equipped with guns, even heavy ones on the broadside. Although difficult to manoeuvre, its constant fire is useful in battle.
